Hospitality Management, Food Service experience, or production supervisory/management for food or beverage.
Knowledge and understanding of the principles of food or beverage production, costing recipes, ordering quality ingredient and supplies.
Strong organizational and logistics skills. good knowledge of Food Safety and hygiene.
Basic skill in the mathematics used to determine quantities to be ordered and calculation of food and beverage costs;
Ability to read and interpret recipes; basic computer skills allowing for use of inventory system;
Ability to hire, train, lead and supervise a diverse work team and to work collaboratively with the kitchen staff, suppliers, distribution dept and delivery drivers.
Basic understanding of composting and recycling and environmental effects of food service waste and spills. Strong ability to multi task and work independently.
Reporting directly to the Company Director Julie Morin, liaising and working with the Distribution department to accurately manage all beverage production.
The Production Manager is responsible for the Commercial Kitchen and kitchen team (2 employees at present) new recipe testing, ordering, preparing ingredients, cooking, bottling, receiving, storage, inventory control, kitchen operations.
