About the Role

As our Product Operations Associate for the Commerce Enablement team, you’ll take the wheel in managing the acquisition and onboarding procedures for our merchant partners in the region. You’ll devise innovative solutions to grow our merchant partner family, streamline our current onboarding process, and develop frameworks to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of these initiatives. Working closely with the Product Operations Lead, you’ll help create seamless work flows that eliminate complexity and ambiguity across the Commerce Enablement operations, ensuring our merchant partners are fully equipped to utilize our products as their online business channel.

What You Will Do

  • Proactively recommend solutions on how to improve the overall merchant partner acquisition and onboarding processes
  • Develop frameworks and initiatives to ensure more efficient and effective merchant partner acquisition and onboarding processes
  • Work with Data Operations team to build robust data foundation and create regular reports
  • Collaborate with Operations team to ensure that the merchant partner acquisition execution flows are streamlined
  • Maintain registered merchant partners and ensure they’re ready to take their services online using our products by educating them about our products and features
  • Incorporate innovative methods to help merchant partners integrate with our social media partners (i.e. Facebook and Instagram)

What You Will Need

  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of working experience in Operations
  • Strong analytical skills in order to identify process gaps and improvements
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills in order to prioritize, monitor, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a new and fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel

About the Team

The Commerce Enablement team is a family of 120+ engineers based in Jakarta, Singapore, and India. We consistently strive to implement solutions that allow our merchant-partners in Indonesia (and the greater Southeast Asian region) to sell their products both online and offline. We also work to improve the merchant-partner experience by product innovation and integration with the rest of the Gojek ecosystem.

With that in mind, from an engineering perspective, our challenges are to evolve a general platform for e-commerce that is sufficiently versatile to support rapid product iterations across multiple products, as well as scaling up to an ever-growing user-base. To tackle these challenges, we have adopted event-driven architectural patterns in our engineering designs, as well as agile practices across all our day-to-day processes.

This COVID era has been hard on all of us. Off-hours, we are doing our best to stay in touch and continue to bond through fun online activities. Once COVID is over, we are looking forward to resuming our regular team-wide social activities such as dinner-and-drinks evenings and team off-sites.
